Antarctica - was not our planet anymore, but another one. Incredible pristine landscapes, the deepest silence together with ferocious roaring seas, Darwin-like wonders of adaptation to extreme climates. The fragility of life - all its power there too.
My 3 most important things for a perfect trip
You have to travel beyond yourself and your known experiences, meet different people in other contexts - and get some dust in your teeth while at it. Stay, feel the place if possible...if not feeding yourself on the road, Km after Km, day after day...I like that too. The road is life - and in ways I agree with Kerouac for sure...
How Travel changed my life
When you travel outside you dream - when you travel inside you awaken. (Carl Jung) The best travels I did combined these two sides - and then you are not the same anymore. You gained more millage - and remember "it is not the age, it is the millage", as R. Waldo Emerson puts it :-)
