Pivnica Medvedgrad is actually a beer house and brewery combined. It is a place favored by the locals as the beer is affordable and tasty. It is decorated like a typical beer house with long wooden tables, especially great if you are in a larger group. They offer 5 different kinds of house brewed beers: Zlatni medvjed, Crna kraljica, Mrki medvjed, Dva klasa and Gricka vjestica, so you would be best advised to ask the waiter for the recommendation. Also there are plenty of both hot and cold plates to choose from if you are feeling peckish. The place is packed during the weekend evenings, however it is not uncommon to share a table with other guests, it regularly turns into a rather merry affair (hm do not know if it has anything to do with large quantities of beer?) Pivnica Medvedgrad can be found on 3 locations in the city, one is at Tkalciceva 36, second is at Bozidara Adzije 16 and the third one is at Samoborska 217. Opening hours are from 10 am until midnight.
