Uspinjaca (or the Funicular) is the oldest method of transportation in Zagreb dating all the way back to 1893. (it was introduced even before the horse driven tram). If you are in the Upper part of the town you can find it right next to Lotrscak tower, while if you are in Ilica, you have turn into Tomiceva street and you cannot miss it. It is a short ride (it only lasts about a minute) however you should not miss it as this is also one of many Zagreb's landmarks. You can find steps right next to it, so you can take the scenic and not to mention more athletic route. It is open every morning from 6:30am until 9:00pm, with the rides every 10 minutes. The price of the ticket is only 3 kunas or if you have a tram ticket that also counts. So if you do not fancy taking the steps or the very up-hill Radiceva street to get to the Upper part of the town, do not miss taking a ride on Uspinjaca. Once you get to the top, take a few minutes to admire the view, as it is truly spectacular.
