Chua Mot Cot, the so called One Pillar Pagoda, has become the symbol of Vietnamese rich culture and history. This Pagoda resembles a giant lotus blossom that king Ly Thai Tong in 1049 wanted to dedicate to Kwan Yin after he had a dream about Kwan Yin meditating on a giant lotus blossom. The One Pillar Pagoda is also pretty popular because of a myth that if you pray hard enough, the Goddess of Mercy at this pagoda will bless you with a child, especially a son. It is however only a myth, I am not sure if it can be true somehow, but it’s worth to try, isn’t it? So come and visit this place if you are desperate for a kid, if you don't really need one, just come here and enjoy this ancient beauty.
