Every time when I come to Saint-Petersburg I like to take a boat tour on rivers and canals of the city. It gives a totally different view of the sights and also a good idea for a tourist who doesn't have much time to walk around. There are two choices: to take a boat during the day or during the night. Both are really good. Everything looks beautiful from the water. In the evening all the buildings are illuminated and you can still see them good. It even gives some magic feeling.
Different companies offer almost the same tours. You can board from different places but I would recommend the one on Griboedova canal, next to the metro entrance some steps away from The Savior on the Spilled Blood church.
