If to drive out of the city of Saint-Petersburg in direction of Zelenogorsk, Repino, Dunes, one may find lots of sandy beaches of the Gulf of Finland. They are not so great and facilitated like at the Mediterranean sea, but still it is possible to have a nice day and to enjoy a beautiful scenery. They are always surrounded by pine trees, this adds a special healthy smell.
We like to drive there on weekends all year around for a nice walk. . Beach line is really long, so you can walk for hours. There many restaurants at the sea with a great view. During the walk we stop for shashlik (barbecue meat) and a glass of wine. Most of the restaurants and cafes have an outdoor terrace, so you can eat and sunbath in summer, or enjoy the sunset in a cosy blanket that is available in some places.
