I never planned to visit Zagreb as the travel guide I had didn't really mention anything that sounded of any interest and I was on my way to Pula for a dance festival but we had to fly in from Istanbul and then get a train to Pula so arrived in the morning on a Sunday and the train to Pula didn't leave until 1am - strange time I know. So we had almost a whole day to kill in the Capital, no problem - or so I thought! Luckily there was a baggage store at the train station so we left all our backpacks and ventured into the city.
At first look its very pretty with fountains and little gardens and beautiful buildings, but once your over that there really wasn't much else! The city was like a ghost town with almost no one around and every thing was closed! I was pretty hard just trying to find somewhere to get something to eat, pizza, pizza or perhaps pizza? Choices choices! In the end we opted for the pizza and found a place where we could get a few drinks and went to an Internet cafe but it was a long day!
