Travel Tip: River Corrib

5 stars
Published on Jan 29, 2008 by cosmoclaudio for River Corrib

River Corrib is the main attraction in Galway. It gives an excellent view and a lovely pedestrian walk. I had never before seen such a short river (it is in fact the smallest in Europe, 2 miles) flowing with such a strong a power. It is very exiting to look at it after a strong rain. I was surprised to see how turbulent it can be. By splitting the city in two this short river is also cause to the most traffic problems in Galway, but don’t worry, you’ll drop the issue after a short walk along the bank.
