| The inner harbor of the port hosts the Maritime museum, just in front of the Tartini square. In its turn the museum, which was a former palace, hosts the aquarium. Especially kids enjoy going here together with their parents. Some artifacts found in the museum date back to the Neolithic period, proving that the Slovenians were not here from the beginning. There are some Roman remains that approve of the culture that is still to be seen in Piran. Other sections of the museum include exhibits of naval architecture and maritime history. The best pictures of the building are taken after a long rainy day. |
