| That was quite a surprise, seeing two of these beautiful creatures suddenly appearing behind the wall. I thought they vanished for good and disappeared like the Incas did. I suppose the llamas where brought to the citadel for touristy reasons but it’s great to see them around and imagine the Incas using them as pack animals. I was told that black llamas were used as a sacrifice in many ceremonies. If you like to see more of them leave climb the steps to the Agricultural Sector. There are plenty of them, of many colors and the sweetest of all are the little ones. |
