Travel Tip: Temple of the Moon

5 stars
Published on Jan 31, 2008 by cosmoclaudio for Temple of the Moon

Making travel books and maps is a good business for the locals but please take care and don’t take everything for granted. You’d better ask before embarking on a trail on your own. This tourist trap will not cost you lots of money but you may lose considerable and precious time and many nerves. Our guide book read that the route to the Temple of Moon around the back side of Huayno Picchu was a “quick” one but this was a mild way to put it in. It took us more that 2 hours to do the hick and we almost lost our train. By the way, neither the temple nor the views impressed us in any way.
