Travel Tip: Grease -- can non Spanish speakers cope?

4 stars
Published on Feb 2, 2008 by drbella for Barcelona

It’s interesting how everything, including all the songs, has been translated into Spanish but the theatricality of the show as well as its prominent place in our collective consciousness means that non-Spanish speakers won’t have any problem understanding or thoroughly enjoying the spectacle.
The only thing that really disappointed us was that the fabulous band is hidden from the audience for the first half of the show.
Check out www.greaseelmusical.com for times and ticket prices.
Rumour hath it that the show’s moving to Madrid in September and will be in Mallorca during the spring.
