Up on the top of the hill known as Fiesole, there is a nice ole Irish pub that has a nice selection of beer and aperitivi. When I studied in Fiesole, many moons ago, this was our gathering place. Even though a pint is around 5 euro, at the time it was great because it was like $5, it was right after they switched to the Euro so it was about equal to the Dollar. Sorry to say those days are gone. Anyways, the staff is very nice and the bar is very cozy inside. It has a nice back room for a private affair and downstairs. There is also a nice cafe area outside for the nice afternoon sit.
