Tranquil and serene, San Juan del Sur is a good place to relax for a few days. Set on the coast, the fishing village has become a quite popular tourist destination during holiday season. Take a walk on the long, horseshoe shaped beach, at the northern end of which you can do some climbing on the cliffs (take sturdy shoes, they are quite sharp) or have a drink and a bite to eat at one of the beachfront restaurants with a view of the ocean and watch the sunset.

great tip!
hi frieda,
the cliffs aren't all that steep, it's more of a scramble than actual climbing. The rocks are pretty sharp though - they cut through my shoes! : )
Sounds like my kind of beach. I love sunset beach. Did you say cliff? I love that too. Wish I had a knack for climbing. Is it steep?
It sounds wonderful. This is a great tip - very helpful and descriptive!
