The Country Club Plaza in Kansas City is beautiful. The buildings and streets are designed after iconic Spanish and European architecture. It really feels like you could be in Europe instead of in America's heartland. It also features some fantastic fountains, artwork and sculptures. The shopping and dining in the plaza is expensive, but it's lovely. A lot of the restaurants would recommend reservations for dinner. Lunch you could probably be OK at most places, but dinner reservations would be a good idea. The bars are high end there, so dress to impress! Your money won't go very far if you shop at every store that strikes your fancy, if you're anything like me! They have stores like Anthropolgie, Cole Haan, Burberry, Chanel, Jimmy Choo and more. I enjoy window shopping there as much as anything else. Tags for this Travel Tip: shopping dining entertainment art architecture |
