This Chinese restaurant is located at Hantverkargatan 1 just next to Café Cioccolata by Giusto. I have only been here once, because I didn’t see any reason to return. Some restaurants have that little extra that makes you amazed over how nice/cozy/welcoming the place is or how kind/friendly/helpful/professional the staff is. Restaurant China had neither of those things. I can’t speak for the food since I have only tried their vegetarian option which was a wok of mixed vegetables served with rice. But the staff was stressed, impersonal and barely said hello or good day when we stepped in or were about to order. It was like they simply wanted to get it over with as quickly as possible, so they could leave you and serve the other guests. I can understand it’s easy to get stressed when the restaurant is full of guests, but I think it's the waiters and waitresses job to show that they are calm, polite, welcoming and at least say hello even though they need to serve four other tables in the same evening. I won’t deny I like to be met with a kind reception, but that wasn’t the case at Restaurant China. My only conclusion is that people simply come here for the food and chose to overlook the lack of friendly service and nice atmosphere. Tags for this Travel Tip: restaurantchina sweden chinesefood |
