In Germany, you can get Turkish food every where; start from Imbiss (take away/diner) until high class Turkish restaurant. Tandure is one of the high class Turkish restaurant in Hannover. Tandure really pampers you with many kinds of delicious Turkish specialties. If you really like mutton, but you barely eat it because of the certain smell, then you don’t need to worry. Tandure can turn the mutton into really tender-good-smell delicacy, you can have it barbecue, with yoghurt sauce, or baked. Last time I ordered grilled mutton and it came with thin bread (but I don’t know how to call it in Turkish), mutton with spice yoghurt sauce, chicken on skewer, and chicken with plain yoghurt sauce. They were all awesome! Not mention to the Turkish tea (chay) and Turkish coffee after dinner, it just made my day. Turkish dessert is also a very good choice after a lot of meat. It is very sweet and crispy (fried vermicelli with pistachio and caramelized sugar). I am sure that you’ll love the ambience of Tandure. The middle east look decoration but with modern colors. From the outside, you’ll see a very strong middle east sense, but when you check out the colors and decoration, you’ll love it more! Tandure is located on Deisterstrasse 17A (hinterhof), 30449 Hannover. The owner Ayttach is very nice and friendly. PS: There is also a branch of Tandure in Aachen, but I haven't been there. Nice writing Christina! I have been meaning to get over here and show some luv with some comments... I have never tried mutton but I would if it was cooked right. I will check out some of your other postings. Keep up the good work.
Weeeeeeeeeeeeee I love love love cheese, we always buy lots of parmesan and wine if we are in Italy. I love parmesan, gouda, camembert, gorgonzola, blue cheese, any kinds of cheese; goat cheese, sheep cheese, even bufallo mozarella hahahhahaha :D
Wow! Look so yummy! Honestly, I like mutton so much... it's because it is not fatty nor greasy. But maybe not all think like me. Here in Italy, we too have cheese from goats..hehe, you can imagine eating it, huh! But yes, I like th same as well and do smell like goat! (joke)... Keep posting dear.
