The greatest attraction of Domos besides the Duna (Danube) stream, the excellent camping site, the National Park, and is on the same route to Visegrad, is of course the very famous Ram-Szakadek. Climbing the very slippery steps of Ram-Szakadek requires no shoes! But of course that is impossible to do as you need shoes inside the National Park of Domos, although the surroundings are clean and not rocky, we cannot be too careful, right? So yes, pack your shoes for sure (and water!) Ram-Szakadek is similar to a (not too) small canyon; a challenging landscape for those who love nature and challenges! It is somewhat steep, and again as I said earlier, (very) slippery as those steps are places right on and/or right next to small waterfalls or water resources here and there; and yet, going through Ram-Szakadek is a really great workout; surprisingly, I thought I was too fat to survive, yet we met with families of kids and bigger persons than me and they could do it better than me! Huh! Some spots don’t have proper steps but a bar to hold so please beware; for first timer it would appear so scary, but once you’ve done it, am sure you’d love it. We didn’t get many good pictures, which is one thing that I totally regret, however, don’t even think to forget to bring your camera, safety is first, yes, but the surrounding views are very nice. brwnsuga: get a very good map of the National Park of Domos to find the Ram-Szakadek, otherwise you might need a tour guide :D
