Many restaurants up in Tihanny have great view looking upon the bluish-greenish color of Lake Balaton; one of them that we went to was Echo Etterem, located on the Echo Hill. If you decide to dine there, should go to the highest level of the restaurant and choose the outside seating as that would have the best outlook for surrounding (although in summer it can get too bright and kind of hot even though there is always the sweet breeze). Most of the meals offered at Echo Etterem are Hungarian which of course makes sense; however, they also boast quite a few international meals although I have to say, most of the international meals selection are more to German-influenced. Around noon to 2 pm in summer time is just hard to find seating here as people usually come in a group of 10 or so, thus expect the worst, for example, couldn’t get the best spot outside. As this restaurant is part of touristic area, prices are not that cheap I have to mention; oh, and by the way, cover your kids eyes, they have ice cream section on the lower part of the restaurant :D
