Travel Tip: Visiting Redang Island

We met up with a local Malaysian man who took us to Redang Island.  We stayed on a secluded private beach with only our budget accommodation on it and nothing else.  Personally thats a little too secluded for my liking, the hostel did have boats so people could visiting other parts of the island but trying to get someone to take us anywhere was a mission!  The sand was the best sand that I have ever seen/felt.  It was as white as snow and as fine as flour and the sea was so clean and blue.  There was a Turtle hang out a short swim from our beach so I forced myself to learn to snorkel (I get claustrophobic) and managed it finally and found the turtle spot, it was so amazing.  Finally one night we got someone to take us to another bay, a livelier one!  It was just as beautiful and more my thing with a few bars and restaurants, a beautiful beach and generally more to see and do.  I did have a good time on Redang, it was probably a bit quiet for my liking but I am really glad that I went as it was so beautiful I'm glad that I saw it.
