This souvenir store is located near the entrance gate of the Skanzen museum; although the store is not that big, it is quite attractive with souvenirs displayed here and there. The lady at the counter was pretty nice to any tourists as well; just beware, she does understand English, so if you think you’d like to discuss with your companion over the pricings inside the store, you might want to discuss it when she’s not around. Just like any other souvenir stores, items at Porteka Bolt are also not that cheap; many of the small souvenirs are really over priced to my opinion, but hey, where in the world where the souvenir stores are not trying to rip tourists off, right? You can find many authentic Hungarian souvenirs in the form of cookies (similar to gingerbread cookies). Some clay-based souvenirs are also to find here along with books, maps, postcards, and so on. |
