Between Playa Zancudo and Golfito you have two options to make the trip: by boat or by bus. As almost always in Costa Rica, taking a boat much quicker than going by bus. A small motor boat will take you on the short trip along the Golfo Dulce. The trip can become quite rough as this is a bay closely adjoined to the ocean and you and your stuff are likely to get wet. If you don't mind that (it will probably be hot anyway and you'll be dry soon enough), it's a fun trip and saves you a lot of time and energy. There's a busstop nearby at the drop-off on the Golfito end and in Playa Zancudo you will have to walk a small distance to the next guest house.
