Travel Tip: Happy Hour!

4 stars
Published on Feb 24, 2008 by EvieJ for Shanghai

Like a beer or two but counting your Yuan? Don’t panic because Shanghai is home of the Happy Hour!

As a typical Brit, I’ve spent numerous evenings frantically ordering multiple beers before the bell rings: thanks to my inconvenient office hours, I’m forced to drink as much as possible between 6.30 and 8pm before prices return to normal – but, as a visitor you’ll be able to take full advantage as almost every bar has Happy Hour from 2pm or 4pm ‘til 8pm.

For the majority of bars, this means buy-one-get-one-free or half price and normally includes draught beers, house wine and house pours. Cheers!
