Travel Tip: Beaches of Corfu island

3 stars
Published on Feb 25, 2008 by johngreek for Kérkyra (Corfu City)

There great many beaches at the island of Corfu. The ones I visited are: “Anemomylos”, “Mon Repo”, “Glyfada” which is very crowded and hard to find a place to park your car, “Miramare”, “Benitses”, “Kalamos”, “Mesoggi”, “Agios Georgios”, “Palaiokastritsa” which I fancied a lot, “Dragotina”, “Sidari” with “Canal d’ amour” known as the place the lovers choose to go. A glamorous beach is “Dasia” where you’ll meet lots os people and tourists there and you’ll have a chance to do water sports.
The quietest places for swimming are the beaches of “Chalikouna”, “Megas Choros”, “Boukari”, “Myrtiotissa” which I liked very much, “Paramona”, “Skydi” and “Marathias”.

Think I would prefer the quite places. Are there any lifeguards at these beaches?
