Travel Tip: Chewing Gumless and Very Disciplined Days at Singapore

5 stars
Published on Feb 25, 2008 by jenemie for Singapore

I have gone to SIngapore for work related matters. Since there were so much news on the cleanliness disciplinary actions of the country for those who litters and especially to those who stick gums anywhere I became very afraid. I had to suffer for at least two weeks of chewing gumless days. I felt like vomiting everytime because I am a chewing gum addict who find traquility upon munching one. I don't know why but it seemed it relieves me of any nervous feeling.

I have to swear that my stay in this city was the most disciplined days of my life! But I have to say it's worth it, i have lived in a very clean city for two weeks.

no gum, no spitting, no peeing, and some more other rules; there are funny t-shirts sold at the airport regarding their strict rules :)

My friend Tze from Singapore had mentioned this no gum rule to me before. Good to know before you go.
