One of the best places serving multicuisine in Calcutta, this small and cozy restaurant is the place to head for when you crave some great food. I walked into the restaurant a couple of days back to try a few of their specialties. First up was Sliced Chicken Hunan Style, a quick stir fry that had me craving for more. So I gave the Prawns in Tausi Sauce (basically a chilli black bean sauce) a shot. Their Iced Fish in Chilli Mustard Sauce also deserves a mention. Since this is a multicuisine restaurant, I had to try some items from the Continental spread also. For soups one can try the chefs special, the Bacon and Potato Soup, follow it up with a starter like Grilled Prawns. For the main course I would recommend the lobster thermidor or the Grilled Beckti. Polish it all off with sumptuous desserts like Bull’s Eye (hot Swiss pastry with vanilla ice cream) or maybe an Apple Aspex Tart, with lemon caramel sauce. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, and reserving a table is a good idea. Visa and MasterCard accepted. 2-1 Outram St., Calcutta, West Bengal Phone: 33/2281-5450 Reservations essential. That was mouthwatering!! Feel like taking the next flight to Cal and heading straing to Tangerine for the griled prawns.
Helpful and complete with all the necessary information, phones, adress, etc. Good.
I am travelling to Calcutta next week and am looking forward to trying this restaurant.
Sounds sumptuous! definitely on my list of to-do things when i vist Cal next.
