Travel Tip: Senglea

4 stars
Published on Feb 29, 2008 by Vihren for Senglea

Senglea is a nice Maltese city on a very long and thin peninsula. While walking through the main street in the middle, one can often see the sea in both Western and Eastern directions. At the top of the peninsula, there is a wonderful viewpoint in a small garden - one can see Floriana, Valetta and Vittoriosa and the whole grand harbour, while sitting on a nice bench under the shadow of some trees. The eastern side of the peninsula offers a pretty alley around the yacht harbour and again a nice view of Vittoriosa and its Fort Sant Angelo, while the western side is not so nice - from there one can see the industrial harbour of Valetta.
