Floriana is the town (or suburb) situated just outside the city walls of Valletta. The town is very nice and lacks the crowds of tourists in the capital city. Just like Valetta, the main attractions here are the church and all the gardens scattered around the town. The church, dedicated to Siant Piblius (one of the most important local saints in Malta) is very big and quite impressive, lavishly decorated in the typical baroque style. In front of the church there is an enormous and strangely looking square with big stones scattered around. King George V Garden offers a wonderful view towards the grand harbour and the cities of Senglea and Vittoriosa, while St Philip's Garden offers a view towards the center of the island until as far as Mdina.
