Travel Tip: Mdina Cathedral

4 stars
Published on Mar 10, 2008 by Vihren for Mdina Cathedral

Mdina Cathedral is a wonderful building right in the center of Mdina, 5 minutes away from the city gate. This cathedral was built in the 17-th century on the place where the first church in malta has ever been. The entrance to the church is only with a ticket for the city museum (opposite the entrance) and costs around 4-5 euros. The interior is very nice, with all these baroque decorations in very bright colors, also a lot of sunlight passes through the small windows and one can see all the colors perfectly. The painting of the central dome is especially marvelous featuring many angels and comets.
