It is a public secret that leather products are most of times hell expensive around the world; it goes the same in Hungary, they are expensive there, however, plenty leather products we saw in Budapest were really nice and the prices were obviously slightly cheaper compare to the ones here in Montreal. I remember I just bought a new Tuscany brand leather bag just a week before I left for Hungary, and it was slightly less than 300 CAD, and in Budapest, I saw a much nicer and cuter leather bag and it was 15.000 Forint (not even 120 CAD!), oh how I regretted the one I purchased in Montreal! One stall that offers great leather products in Budapest, and you can see the person doing his job right in front of you, is the leather stall of Honfi Peter; if I remember it well, his actual place is located somewhere at Vaci Street, actually; however, we saw him on a street amongst the other souvenirs and foods stalls. I can surely tell you how their leather souvenirs were very amazing, elegant, and classic; however, they weren’t that cheap. Nevertheless, if you’d like to get some for a great souvenir to your loved ones or even for yourself, I’d suggest you to check Honfi Peter’ leathers. |
