Silverwood Theme Park: Silverwood Theme Park

Published on 01:56am 04/05/2008 by ConnieMotz

Located minutes north of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Silverwood Theme Park is the Northwest’s largest theme park with a great fun for everyone.

This is a popular destination for Canadians during the summer months as it really is the only theme park in the entire area. They’ve upgraded over and over throughout the years and have a new steel roller coaster due to open this July.

Currently they have two wooden roller coasters: the Timber Terror and Tremors which drops at 65 miles per hour into an underground tunnel for 30 seconds of darkness. Ahhh, no, not for me.

The other main attraction besides the coasters is the water park, Boulder Beach. It offers great rides plus two wave pools – it really is a great summer fun destination for the whole family.

Unfortunately, Silverwood Theme Park doesn’t allow outside food or beverages to be brought into the park but they do offer a decent selection of food to choose from. And don’t forget to buy your Elephant Ear – it’s like a Beaver Tail or almost like a churro – yummy.

Silverwood Theme Park starts its season by opening weekends only in May and then is open every day until early September when it’s back to weekends only. A one day pass that gets you into all attractions is $36.99 USD plus taxes; seniors and children ages 3 to 7 are only $19.99
