Loughman Lake Lodge has a full service restaurant. It overlooks the water. On the weekends they generally have a live band in the evening playing while people enjoy their meals. A variety of entrees is available including grilled Grouper, a seafood dinner featuring shrimp, clam strips and Grouper, catfish fillets and more exotic dinners including fried frog legs and gator tail bites. People always remark that gator tastes a lot like chicken. I don't really think so. It's more chewy and unique in flavor. A lot of people enjoy eating it though. It helps to keep the gator population under control. For those with less exotic tastes there are always hamburgers, hot dogs pulled pork and grilled chicken available. Drinks include soft drinks and beer. The atmosphere is casual and laid back. The service is prompt and courteous. It's a nice change for a simple casual family meal. Phone 321-268-2277. The restaurant is at 1955 Hatbill Road, Mims, Florida about 4 miles west of I-95 (exit 223) on SR 46 and then 1 mile on Hatbill Road in Brevard County, Florida.
