This is a fantastically atmospheric castle with an interesting history, set into the cliff. Well worth a visit and good for exploration. It isn't so good for those with limited mobility because it involves a lot of stairs. If getting there under your own steam, check with the tourist office in Postojna (before leaving town) about taxi reservations - there seem to be few in town and this is the only way to get out there, at about 8 euros per person for a full taxi (6 people - you book places in the taxi rather than the whole taxi). The taxi does a few runs per day, They may leave from out at the Postojna caves (just under a mile out of town), so don't do what we did - we walked out to the caves, back into town and back out to the caves to catch the taxi!
