This restaurant is only open for dinner on Friday and Saturday, and it's worth the wait if you like "food from the old country." There is nothing fancy or frilly about the place - the dining room is made to comfort, not impress. This is the sort of food you might get at your grandmother's house, the recipes that came over from Europe and got mixed in with American tradtions. They do sandwiches and small plates daily for lunch, but Saturday dinner is the real treat. I love the pork chops and the bratwurst. It's that kind of food, and it's prepared lovingly.
