If you're not into home-brewed beer, this place isn't anything special, but it's worth having a meal if you want to sample from the brewing tanks. There's also a full bar if someone in your party doesn't like beer. The food is okay but not special - they do a lot of dishes like fish and chips and burgers that are tasty but not unusual. The service is a bit hit-and-miss, but this might be due to the busy dining room at most times. They have televisions on the walls, so it can get noisy if there's a game on and people are drinking. Not sure it's so much a family atmosphere as for rowdy, drinking adults.
