Travel Tip: Enzian Theater Features Alternative Fare

3 stars
Published on May 8, 2008 by estull for Maitland

The Enzian is the only full-time, non-profit alternative cinema in Central Florida. Located in Maitland, just north of Orlando, this is where you can go to see art films, foreign films, and many independent films. The theater itself offers food and beverage service and several times a yeaer plays host to film festivals including the Florida film Festival. Word to the wise, get there early for some of the more popular offerings. The theater is not large and some of the seats have better visibility than others, which is particularly important with sub-titled films. The food is OK nothing spectacular with full service meals as well as typical theater fare. Regular admission is $9.
