Koshy’s is a coffee shop and restaurant which, besides its quaint sugar pots, has come be known as the hub for Bangalore’s artsy-fartsys. For people who have grown with the city it is considered a part of Bangalore’s foundation and on any given evening one is likely to catch a conversation involving art or poetry or literature or philosophy or other conversations trying to sound like such.
Initially a favourite stopover for coffee, appams and stew, and pork curry, now they have a swank, proper A/C section that serves continental food as well. It isn’t inexpensive and if I’m ever caught sitting there, it’s with an iced tea or lime soda and a plate of fried potato smileys.
