Travel Tip: Chile - Santiago Central Bus Station

5 stars
Published on May 15, 2008 by Sinbad the sailor for Santiago

Santiago de Chile is a good point to plan further voyages across South America – or just inside long, long latitude-wise Chile.

Surely traveling by bus is a cheap way to do it – and therefore the Central Bus Station in Santiago is a spot you will want to have a look at.

You can reach it stopping at the underground station Universidad de Santiago, which directly connects you to the Central Bus Station.

Bus stations are first of all some kind of mirror of a country – in the ways of seeing all sorts of physiognomies and internal migrations.

So if planning to hit the road to Lima, Buenos Aires, Punta Arenas or Iquique, among many other destinations, this is the place to start.

Tickets are not very expensive – you can cross to Argentina and be back by less than 25 Euros.
