Erlangen is a small city to the North of Nuremberg, being mostly famous as a university city. And when I arrived at the place – all the life here is dictated by the university – the city is so small for such a big university that there are faculties and halls everywhere. I felt like being on the campus of some University. There are actually only a few sights here - the small castle, the big square in front of it and the garden behind it with some interesting big fountain inside and that is all. Of course, there is also an University botanical garden which is probably really nice but on the day of my visit it was not opened at all.
