Strasbourg is a city I like very much, being quite inviting to enjoy its many attractions. No wonder its historical centre is classified as UNESCO World Heritage – where the Cathedral is the ex-libris point. I particularly like the inner astronomical clock – quite impressive. From outside the tall spire and its asymmetric look define the skyline. If you just sit near the beautiful Kammerzell House and try some sauerkraut or other traditional gastronomy dish – then all the cathedral details, with its amazing Gothic structures, will slowly reveal to you. I also like very much walking around La Petit-France with its half-timbered houses, following the River Ill. The Church of St. Paul is also a magnificent temple. The Ponts Couverts medieval bridges are magnificent - in their Barrage Vauban ensemble. In my visits to Strasbourg it was always the river atmosphere and its many cafe-boats that called my inner attention, mixed with some academic life.
