Travel Tip: Raw Beauty and wonders at the Masenjere Forest Reserve

3 stars
Published on Aug 7, 2008 by pingati007 for Masenjere

My friends and hiked through the faint paths of the expansive Masenjere Forest for several hours during which we came face to face with many natural wonders that left us with more questions than answers. The forest reserve has absolutely thick vegetation, which include indigenous trees that have grown for hundreds of years into extreme heights and widths. The unique combination of natural vegetation in the forest reserve is what mesmerized me the most. There was also a conspicuous presence of high population of varying bird species in the forest reserve. We were also informed that small populations of elephants inhabit the park though we were not luck enough to spot any.
