| Varadero is one of the most touristic places I've seen in Cuba. The whole town seems to function especially for tourists. It's great, but if you're going to Cuba in order to get a good insight on Cuban life, traditions, behavior, etc., I really don't suggest Varadero. There are many activities for tourists-only, like taking small cruises, going to the Delfinario, where you can practically swim with the dolphins, go snorkeling, going to hotel parties, etc, I'm sure it's a great way to spend your time, but it's not really my favorite type of traveling. |
