| A lovely place to visit in Cienfuegos is the Palacio de Valle. You can find it in the area that’s called Punta Gorda. The palace is pretty new, dating from the 20th century. It was built for a famous and very rich merchant around 1915. The building is beautiful and combines many architectural styles. There’s still some old furniture that you can admire and a very old piano. The view from the upper terrace is what really makes the visit to this palace worth the time. I wouldn’t call it a must see, but a nice and relaxing past-time. It was almost empty when I visited it. |
