Travel Tip: Marti Park

4 stars
Published on Aug 9, 2008 by Elizaoprisor for Marti Park

The Marti park is actually a plaza, the centre of Cienfuegos. The plaza is pretty large and very, very sunny. There are some palm trees there, but definitely not enough as to find a shady spot and run away from the very strong Cuban sun. In spite of that, the plaza was crowded with both tourists and locals. Many were admiring the Arch of Triumph and the big statue and some were trying to get inside of the Government building that lays there. I don’t think they made it though, because they seemed to be discussing the issue with some angry guardians.
