Generally I found taxi's in Nadi to be very honest, friendly and most of them even let you smoke in the car even though there is a sign not to smoke (the driver then normally lights one up too ha ha!) None of the taxi's tried to rip us off and every time we caught a cab the prices were roughly the same so I was fairly confident in them. The only thing you have to watch is if you get dropped off in Nadi town during the day as many of the taxi's will drop you off outside 'Jack's'. Jack's is a huge souvenir shop and the taxi them gets commission from Jack's for dropping you off outside. Jack's have staff on the door that basically drag you into the shop - you'll see every tourist that is walking a round Nadi will a bag from Jack's so this obviously happens to a lot of people, luckily I got a warning from someone at the hotel so I missed all of this!
