Zagreb’s Technical Museum is located at Savska cesta 18 (a few minutes walk from the Mimara museum). I would urge anyone who is traveling with children to see the Technical museum as it is a rare treat and not really plagued with tourists (more with local schools on day trip). There is plenty to explore and see – kids will enjoy the old timers, boats and steam engines, then there is planetarium of course, then there is the interesting replica of a coal mine as well as a cabinet of Nikola Tesla where you can try to duplicate some of his most famous experiments. It should be a fun treat for both kids and grown-ups alike. Opening hours are Tuesday to Friday from 9:00am until 5:00pm; Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00am until 1:00pm. |
