Thailand has developed a good and deserved reputation for excellent health spas across the country. Even in the smallest side streets of Bangkok there are good spas and Thai massage places. At the top end of the business are the likes of Evason Six Senses, but, even though quite expensive, one of the best I beleive to be the Kamalaya Spa on Koh Samui. The island is not as relaxing as it used to - when I first set foot on 'coconut island' there was no airport and precious few good hotels. Nowadays it has become a major resort, but if its relaxation and a good programme of treatments from detox to just plain yoga, then this is a great place.
