Visitors coming to Bangkok have a lot of choices when it comes to hotels, and the costs are relatively low. For 2,500 Baht a night a 4 star hotel is the norm. But if the stay is longer then spending some 75,000 Baht is not quite so attractive. I have spent 6 month periods in Bangkok at 8,000 -9,000 Baht per month for a decent sized studio at P Mansion, in Pathon Yothin. Its about 12 years old, so the owners of such places tend to lower the cost. Te walk to the MRT is around 10 minutes or just a few minutes by taxi. The apartments are well furnished, are cleaned every week, and come with a TV, Microwave, Fridge. and pantry area. That for the equvalent of about 260-300 Baht a day is something of a bargain. Electricity is extra at 7 Baht a unit, . The people are very friendly and the apartments can be rented on a month by month basis. There are also bigger studios with balconies and 1 or 2 bedroom units. No pool or gym, but Supalai Park is very close where day visits can be bought for the sports club.
