In the city if Iasi, not far away from the center, you will find a massive building, looking exquisitely good (it was just restored): the Central University Library (BCU - in Romanian) . This building was specially build about 200 hundred years ago to hold hundreds of thousands of books, as it is today, too. In the round tower you can see below is the Archive section – with some of the oldest books in Romania. You must be in research studies in Romania or a student to have access on those books, as they are a national heritage. Being a university city, with over 50 thousand students, this building is a focal point in the cultural diversity of Iasi; the ground floor will reveal you the British Council Center of studies.
