Blah... Big blah...
Often blah comes out of my mouth when I encouraged myself to try a new restaurant that serves pho on their menu but the restaurant is not a pho restaurant, in other word, they are just trying to get more customers who are pho fans to go to their restaurant. Tricky, eh?
If I had a nickel every time I try new restaurant that are not pho specialist but have pho on their menu, I would be rich today.
The other day we ordered to go 2 portions of pho from Spicy Noodle; they have Tonkinoise soup on their menu, it was nothing but a disappoinment though. The pho in Spicy Noodle was just horrible. The soup was clear and tasteless big time. The beef slices were questionable. The bean sprouts were in the soup already so they are not fresh, no lime, no side dishes whatsoever.
If you are familiar with Vietnamese pho (beef soup), just by looking at the pictures we posted up here, you definitely would get the idea of how wrong Spicy Noodle' pho is. Maybe next time we have to try other menu but definitely not their pho. But for now, we don't really think we would wanna try other menu at Spicy Noodle in near future.
But if you wanna give a try to Spicy Noodles, they have plenty to offer and the prices are not expensive. Our suggestion? Just not their Tonkinoise soup ;) Spicy Noodle is located at 3575 Ave Parc #5609, Montreal.
Soups range from CAD$ 2.50 to CAD $ 3.50
Appetizers from CAD$ 2.50 to 6.00
Seafood from CAD$ 8.50 to 11.95
Chicken from CAD$ 8.95 to 13.95
All menu on Beef or Pork CAD$ 8.95
Vegetable from CAD$ 6.97 to 7.50
They also serve vegetarian meals and the prices range from CAD$ 6.50 to 7.00 While noodle soups starts from CAD$ 6.95 to 8.50
Stir fried noodle starts from CAD$ 6.50 to 8.50
Some more meals on their menu such as dim sum and friend rice. Spicy Noodle also offers combo special that you should check out. This restaurant opens from 11 AM to 11 PM
Telephone: 514-847-0222
*Note: the hot sauce and hoisin sauce we added to the bowl were our own sauces, thank God we still had some that day, otherwise, we would be eating totally tasteless soup!
